Varennes Heights Baptist Church

Dear church,

Diane and I had a great time on our vacation. We had the opportunity to spend some needed time with our children and grandchildren. The grands love the "seal pool" at the beach and we enjoyed having the time to enjoy being with them. During that time there were several deaths in/or related to the church. My uncle, Mark Mitchell, passed away. Stacy Jefferson and Casey Ayers passed away. We certainly were saddened to hear about their deaths.

As you read this (if you read this let me know by e-mail) the church has many great plans for the future. If you have picked up a copy of the church calendar you can see that it is a busy calendar. But God is greatly blessing and I pray that we will remain "blessable" by remaining faithful. Don't ever take the blessings of God for granted; they come through faithfulness.

This past Sunday was a great Sunday. The Lord blessed us at both of our services and the Holy Spirit was evident. Pray that God will continue to touch each heart and that many will come to know the Lord. May God bless you and we hope to see you this Wednesday.
