Rev. Weldon Sellers

Weldon Sellers was born March 15, 1977 in Rock Hill, SC. He was saved and baptized at the age of 9. After his salvation, he became very involved in the local church and its ministry. While growing up, the Lord blessed Weldon with the talent to play the game of baseball very well. Weldon graduated from Indian Land High School in 1995. His plans were to go to college and play baseball until he was old enough to be a law enforcement officer, but the Lord had other plans. After high school, Weldon went to North Greenville College. While at North Greenville the Lord surrounded Weldon with a bunch of "preacher boys" as roommates.

The Lord used these "preacher boys" as a tool to show Weldon what he needed to do with his life. Weldon surrendered his life to the Lord's calling in the spring of 1997. After surrendering to the Lord's calling, he concentrated his studies in the area of Christian ministry. While at North Greenville, Weldon fell in love with Sandi Daves. He graduated with a B.A. degree in Christian Studies in December of 1999 and they were married a week later. He began his local church ministry at Victor Baptist Church in Greer (1999-2001) where he served as Minister of Recreation. From Greer he traveled to Gaffney where he served as Minister of Youth at East Gaffney Baptist Church (2001-2005). He currently serves as Associate Pastor of Youth & Education. Weldon and Sandi have 4 boys: Andrew (10); Aaron (9); Alex (7); Adam (1). Weldon graduated in December 2007 with a Master's Degree in Christian Ministry from North Greenville University. Weldon is still very involved with North Greenville University's Baseball team and serves as a Chaplain with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. Weldon's hobbies are training beagles, hunting anything, and spending time with his family and friends.
